What is this role all about?
We’re looking for a passionate and driven professional who can drive PR strategy and execution for our franchises. You’ll work closely with our franchise leaders for Magic: The Gathering® and Dungeons & Dragons® to create high-impact campaigns, build strong relationships with influential media outlets and facilitate brand-building opportunities for our spokespeople.
As the PR Manager you will be a trusted advisor on media strategy and messaging and help be responsible for the day-to-day execution of our PR campaigns with external agency support.
You will have experience successfully launching AAA titles as part of a game publisher or as a PR agency lead, have consistent record of crafting publicity plans that secure share of voice within the genre and are adept at working across communications, marketing and development teams to align on messaging and planning.
A day in the life as a Sr. Public Relations Manager:
- Lead the Strategic Documents that help guide campaign planning for our products (brand positioning, key art, strategic narrative, creative platform, agency briefs, etc.)
- Partner with internal team members and external agencies to bring your plans to life - on time, on quality, on budget.
- Brief key partners across the organization to ensure alignment and understanding of our campaigns.
What you'll bring:
- 6+ years validated media relations within the gaming industry
- Validated results in creating and executing effective media relations strategies
- You are known for your ability to build collaborative relationships with key internal partners as well as external influencers, business partners, and leaders with vision.
- Contacts and relationships with press in the gaming industry
- Familiarity with being a part of and working with dedicated, passionate fan communities
- Comfort collaborating with and counseling senior-level leadership on crucial decisions and issues
- Experience drafting, editing and maintaining press materials and messaging
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
