The Role
Based in Rancho Bernardo, you will work as part of the Commerce & Checkout Product Management team across San Diego and San Francisco. We are looking for a product manager with a solid understanding of electronic payments, finance and transactional systems. The role will help lead the PlayStation® Network platform’s payments and fraud transactional requirements and provide solutions across the monetization service portfolio. You will work in close collaboration with product managers and business stakeholders for both Console Platform and Service Platform to deliver a best in class commerce strategy.
Responsibilities:
Drive the product strategy and roadmap for commerce teams
Lead the ideation, research, design, development, prioritization and launch of products
Lead the documentation of product requirements from cross-functional teams and stakeholders on multiple business levels
Interface with technical development teams to clearly convey requirements and provide insight into business rationale / benefits
Manage and drive projects that support services and 3rd party integrations including:
Rules Engine
Machine learning
Payment Processing
Risk decisions
Compliance
Monitor and maintain the product portfolio
Create goals, drive product development with a world-class team of engineers, data scientists, stakeholders to deliver impact for our customers and business.
Use data and metrics to inform your strategy and success criteria
Communicate and report overall status, primary metrics, essential issues, and solution plans and readiness timelines to senior management
Establish business cases and projected return on investment to identify and prioritize opportunities
Lead product enhancements and new feature launches from start to finish
Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
Requirements:
BA/BS Degree or equivalent, Master’s Degree Preferred
6+ years of product management or related experience, preferably with experience working in payment risk or on other marketplace platforms
Good workable knowledge of machine learning techniques is preferred.
Passionate and knowledgeable about payments and/or risk & fraud, with strong analytical and technical understandings
Self-starter with a proven track record of execution and results
Proven ability to work cross-functionally, collaborate, influence, and work as part of a team
Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
Previous experience working in e-commerce and payments/payment processing
Possess ability to blend business and technical knowledge to deliver high quality products
Be able to add value in both technical solution discussions or business strategy discussions
Proven ability to transform product strategy into well-articulated business requirements
Demonstrate shipping exceptional products to market with an iterative approach
Outstanding problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to find the correct solution
Leadership through influence and a proven ability to motivate and collaborate with development teams
Strong proficiency with collaboration and agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Ability to handle both Executive-level or deep technical discussions
Ability to work in a fast paced, multiple project environment on an independent basis
Understand agile software development process
At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$128,100 — $192,100 USD
