We are on a quest to find a legendary Senior Product Manager who is an expert in their craft to be a steward of Classic World of Warcraft. The ideal candidate is a problem solver and with outstanding communication skills, validated experience in the gaming industry, and a solid track record of supporting AAA products. Importantly, they will have a deep understanding of and appreciation for our players because they are a player themselves.

We’ve transitioned to a work-from-home model, and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique, and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
Location Fixed:
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, California .
Responsibilities
- Alongside the Classic leadership team, define the future of the Classic product (#whichchanges?)
- Become a guide on our Classic players: their difficulties, needs, and wants
- Develop a multidisciplinary product release strategy that prioritizes player engagement and retention
- Develop product strategy for alternative game modes (e.g., Season of Mastery)
- Lead all aspects of management of Value Added Services and MTX as appropriate
- Partner actively with regional teams to understand market specifics, regional asks, and player desires
- As needed, flex to support product decisions across both games
- Monitor and escalate potential issues and share performance data with development team, publishing, and commercial leads
- Translate strategy into a set of clear measurable objectives tied to franchise goals, and demonstrate how initiatives impact key business metrics
Recommended Gear
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a business, strategy or analytics role supporting technical or digital entertainment products
- Deep understanding of the distinctions between Classic WoW and the modern game
- Experience distilling large amounts of data to draw actionable business insight, including segmentation approaches, multivariate testing and experimentation
- Experience communicating and defending analytical insights to executive-level audiences to inform decision making
- Strong project management skills and a self-starter approach to delivering results
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment, managing complex projects with diverse teams. Specifically, experience working closely with creative/development teams and knowledge of game development processes is valuable in the role
- MBA or a relevant graduate-level degree providing expertise on business operations topics is preferred

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
