As one of the largest mobile marketing companies in the world, MZ connects millions of devices around the globe. Our marketing team focuses on driving efficient user acquisition for our top hit games - Game of War: Fire Age, Mobile Strike, and Final Fantasy XV. We’re growing our talented team with an analyst who can create meaningful impact to our business objectives. This person will create dashboards to be ingested cross functionally, will run ad hoc queries, and will build data models to help manage our business intelligence framework. As a data driven team and company, this person will also have the opportunity to collaborate with world class analysts, data scientists, and media buyers to make recommendations that impact millions of dollars in spend.
What you'll be doing:
- Partner closely with marketing stakeholders to identify impactful business problems, translate them into structured analysis, and effectively communicate the results
- Develop quantitative analysis, ad hoc reports, and statistical models to support marketing decisions related to: marketing spend efficiency, user lifetime value, user engagement & retention, and return on investment
- Build and maintain B tools to make informed decisions quickly while empowering others cross functionally to have information readily accessible
- Develop frameworks for forecasting, exploring trends, and spotting anomalies
- Design experiments to test the validity of hypotheses around user acquisition strategy
Your background and who you are:
- BS in a technical field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
- 4+ years’ work experience analyzing large datasets in an analytics role
- Proficiency with SQL or other querying languages
- Comfort in distilling technical information into business decisions, with a desire to own the business outcome of the analysis you produce
- Team oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, fluid, environment
- Advanced experience with Tableau or other similar visualization tool
Bonus points
- Experience with big data frameworks, and with Python or R
- Knowledge of digital marketing, or performance marketing
- Master’s degree in statistics or related field
