Sr. General Ledger Accountant

Glu Mobile Inc. is looking for an experienced Senior GL Accountant to join the GL team. Reporting to the Senior General Ledger and Consolidation Manager, you will be helping the GL team in the day-to-day accounting operations, and preparation of financial statements, ensuring the delivery of timely, complete and accurate financial information that helps the management in making corporate financial decisions. You will be working closely with the FP&A team and various business owners to ensure costs are captured properly. You are an advanced Excel user and have extensive experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems. You will also be helping with the external audit requests and help ensure a successful audit process. You are a team player with a great ability to adapt to accounting changes in a fast-paced mobile gaming industry; and is always looking for additional tasks.

Key Qualities:

• Windows – knows multiple versions of Windows, especially Window 10
• Excel – familiar with all versions of Excel
• Proactive and energetic
• Strong understanding and experiences with accruals on operating expenses (when to release accrual, determine whether accrual is needed)
• Work well under tight deadlines

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the daily accounting operations, including Accruals, Fixed Assets, Cash, Prepaids, booking journal entries and preparing reconciliations
• Manage daily and average FX rates in Oracle
• Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual closes for all ledgers
• Work closely with the GL Accountants in India
• Work closely with ERP IT team to maintain the ERP system
• Work closely with FP&A to perform monthly Budget vs Actuals analysis
• Work closely with Payroll team on bi-weekly payroll entries and reconciliations
• Work closely with AP and AR teams to streamline and improve current processes
• Assist with the external auditors to ensure smooth and successful quarterly reviews, annual audit and Sox walkthroughs/testing; preparing flux analysis; and preparing quarterly PBC schedules
• Manage Sharepoint for account reconciliations to ensure all reconciliations are completed timely and accurately
• Utilize experiences in different areas and lead ad hoc projects

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 3-5 years in the General Ledger function at a publicly traded company
• Experience Oracle (Oracle Cloud a plus)
• Hands-on experience in accounting operations and complete monthly/quarterly/annual close cycle and preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Intermediate to advance skills in Excel
• Solid written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
• CPA a plus
• Experience in accounting outsourcing (i.e. India) a plus
