Sr. Financial Analyst

We are looking for a highly-motivated Sr Financial Analyst, who can function with confidence and grace in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment. The Analyst will have direct visibility to senior members of Finance, as well as significant interaction with the broader FP&A team across key functional areas. Candidates should be able to understand, track, and manage important metrics and resource allocations across the company.

As part of the FP&A team, you will be working closely with a tight knit team to provide key business metrics to operating teams and collaborate with business leaders to become a trusted advisor.

We are looking for a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, data collection and modeling capabilities to deliver meaningful analysis and timely reporting. The Sr Finance Analyst will report to the Sr Finance Manager and will be supporting one of our game studios. The ideal candidate will be an individual with effective verbal and written communication skills as well as an experience in presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior management. The candidate must have 3+ years of relevant FP&A experience working in a high growth and fast-paced environment in the technology industry. Strong communication skills are essential as this role will interact regularly with other departments in the organization. Because you are interacting with game teams every day, it is critical that you have an interest in and an understanding of how games work, what makes them fun etc.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Own the financial forecast including budgeting, forecasting, monthly close and financial analysis for a game studio.
• Provide insightful analysis through exploratory analysis, including assessing trends, cohort, funnel analyses to highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk / improve performance
• Present financial results to functional leaders at various organizational levels.
• Partner with the Accounting group to manage Close deliverables, timelines, process and reporting
• Partner with the functions and the rest of the FP&A team to execute strategic initiatives and drive business excellence.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support functional and company-level decision making.
• Maintain systems and methods of obtaining and disseminating operational information.
• Proactively identify opportunities for financial process and system improvement.
• Analyze studio performance against core KPIs and identify areas of potential risk and opportunity
• Challenge status quo and provide alternative solutions

Preferred Experience And Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 3 years of related financial experience
• You are collaborative, forming trusting relationships with your cross-functional teammates
• You are a strong critical thinker, excited to solve ambiguous problems
• Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis
• Experience creating dashboards/visualizations using, e.g., Tableau (or similar)
• Knowledge of statistics and statistical models (linear/logistic regression, cluster, factor analysis).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required (“power user”) and experience with Microsoft PowerPoint Tableau are necessary and knowledge in Adaptive and Oracle preferred.
• Exceptional judgement and maturity, including an ability to execute independently and work with team members of all levels
• Strong communication skills to articulate quantitative analysis in a way that broad game teams and executives can understand.
