Summary
• Responsible for providing leadership to multi-discipline software development teams through the entire product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and experienced technical leader with a history of creating high performing globally diversified teams that deliver successful enterprise software products.
• The candidate will also be responsible for building an environment that encourages team development and growth.What you'll do
- Effectively recruit and retain top talent in the CXS team.
- Develop and coach team members to create a high-performance culture. This includes holding regular one on one conversations with direct reports and team members.
- Responsible for creating Employee Objective and Key Results and providing timely performance feedback for these OKRs.
- Act as a facilitator for your teams by removing major impediments raised in a timely manner.
- Participates in budget process and is responsible with managing spending to meet budgetary goals.
- Ability to understand the business goals and strategy and drive development teams to consistently improve delivery time and time to deployment.
- Must have the ability to communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience running Software Development department of 120+ members.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in software development, personnel management, and knowledge of software development life cycle.
- Experience in Agile software methodologies like Scrum preferred.
- Requires at least 15 years of software development experience and a minimum of five years of that time managing all aspects of 120+ member software development team.
- Requires 3+ years working with globally dispersed software development teams.
- Experience managing budgets of $8M+.
- Must be able to drive the cooperation of peer groups involved in common business goals and objectives.
- Solid understanding of best practices and software development life cycles.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Ability to meet changing demands and to adapt to frequently changing priorities.
- Ability to lead teams through multiple concurrent projects on different schedules.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
- Must be able to work with different time zones.
