Sr. Attorney – Digital Gaming and Licensing

Wizards of the Coast is looking for a Sr. Attorney with extensive gaming and intellectual property licensing experience to support digital out-licensing for all Hasbro properties. This role will provide strategic guidance, draft agreements, and lead legal aspects of dealmaking for the Digital Gaming Out-Licensing business to help deliver digital expressions of some of the most well-known gaming IPs in the world! What You’ll Do:
- Draft and negotiate a variety of out-license agreements for third party uses of Hasbro's intellectual property rights in connection with a wide variety of digital products and platforms.
- Partner with, and counsel, digital licensing teams through all phases of transactions and partnerships.
- Write and maintain standard templates of digital out-licensing agreement as well as other forms such as development agreements, NDAs, deal proposals, term sheets, amendment letters, and agency agreements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in Renton and around the world to develop and maintain an efficient work intake and contract management process and optimize dealmaking efficiency and information sharing..
- Educate and train client teams on relevant legal issues.
What You’ll Bring:
- US qualified lawyer or Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school (or equivalent).
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience with substantial time spent leading intellectual property dealmaking in the gaming and/or entertainment industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Growth mindset and passion for emerging technology, gaming, and the regulatory aspects of those industries (including data privacy, technology transactions, and consumer protection).
- Creative, business-friendly approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven client relations skills, business sense, and the ability to make practical evaluations of risk.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and a diverse workload.
- People management experience a plus.
- Proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English is helpful.
- Ability to flex schedule in order to meet business needs from various time-zones.
- Some travel required.
