Principal Software Engineer - Account Identity

The Account Identity team is building the next generation of IAM (Identity Access Management) and ABAC (Attribute-Based Access Control) platforms to answer who has access to what, where. We bring an enriched understanding of our users so that their experiences are catered to be appropriate and meaningful.
As a Principal Engineer on the Account Identity Team, you will architect scalable systems that guide decisions around how we personalize experiences for our massive user base. You will provide technical leadership, encouraging team collaboration towards goals. We are a group of experienced engineers passionate about creating flexible microservices guided by performance. Our team owns important services that are some of the highest-trafficked within Roblox, and we work with other teams to help build container-based development practices.
You Are:

You Will:
- Manage enormous projects that span multiple teams.
- Ship beautiful code, following high coding standards and establishing new ones.
- Work for your team, being a force multiplier by unblocking issues and bridging the gaps between organizations.
- Be a Technical Lead by mentoring engineers to make sure your team expertise grows over time.
- Work with your product partners to establish the roadmap and lead the project execution.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams, product and design to develop new functionality, pipelines, and workflow.
- Be guided by our vision to put the Roblox community first and represent us through thought leadership.
- Produce excellent documentation for internal and external teams
You Have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Designing and programming skills
- Excellent ability to think about long-term impact
- Experience working with highly-scalable systems
- Identity risks, errors, and improvement in application development
- Work with other engineers, across multiple teams and disciplines
- Passion for testing and development
- Programming experience in one compiled (C++, C#, Java) and one interpreted script language (JS, PHP, Python, Lua, etc)
