Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test (SET), in this role you will be embedded with the FIFA Live Team, known as Live Systems, providing technical testing, test automation and debugging. FIFA Live Team focuses on everything to do with Live Operations once a new FIFA title is released. Online Matchmaking, FIFA Ultimate Team and everything else FIFA online. Critical partner of game development teams, Software Engineers in Test are pushing products/services to their limit, making sure they perform to customer expectations and conform to the highest quality standards. In partnership with software engineers and program managers, and using various programming and scripting languages, they write test cases and plans; design, develop, and maintain automation test tools; and execute test plans/suites that isolate and debug software problems.

Overview

• Design and performs performance/load tests; interprets and acts on results
• Executes test strategy in area assigned; develops test cases for specific features
• Clarifies how features should work to eliminate ambiguous requirements
• Writes and uses regressions tests
• Provide feedback on testability during design reviews
• Proactively reviews his/her test plans for completeness with leads
• Develops and uses the latest testing tools
• Leverages test automation tools to create efficiencies and drive quality
• Prioritizes assigned bugs with supervision from lead
• Takes responsibility for all tasks related to his/her assigned features
• Demonstrates ad-hoc testing
• Develops and executes automated unit testing suites.

Qualifications

• Design and performs performance/load tests; interprets and acts on results
• RESTFul API testing and JSON,
• XML, HTML
• Python
• Swagger
• Tools such as Postman, SOPUI, or Charles, Fiddler
• Jenkins
• General understanding of load and performance testing
• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience
• A strong understanding of testing methodologies
• Experienced with building test strategies
• Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills
• Understanding Software Development Life-Cycle processes
• Experience with version control and build systems
• JIRA, Perforce, Git, MySQL, Jenkins
