About the Role
We’re building the future of Music on Twitch. We support music creators by building tools and services to allow them to grow and engage their communities, and help them to share their talents with the world. You will be building exciting but currently unannounced products to make sure that our broadcasters and their communities are having a great time together. We partner with almost every group at Twitch to ensure we use all our strengths as a company, and are always live, interactive, entertainment.
We are looking for an engineer with strong architectural and debugging skills, who cares about scalability, availability and quality to build new music experiences on Twitch.
You Will:
- Develop reliable web services and large-scale applications
- Embrace and champion engineering best practices within your group and Twitch
- Produce clean, high-quality code, tests, and documentation
- Actively engage in code and design reviews with peers and partners
- Contribute engineering input and feedback into product planning processes
- Partner with fellow engineering teams to deliver on complex initiatives together
- Mentor and cultivate junior engineers
You Have:
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Readiness to try new things and work with a diverse group of people
- BA/BS in computer science or equivalent experience
- Desire and ability to write production quality code at scale
- Demonstrated history of building and deploying public-facing APIs supporting thousands of requests per second
