Job Description:

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our Corporate Applications group in Irvine, CA. You'll help build tools used daily at Blizzard for Game Production, Development, IT, Human Resources, Finance, QA, Internal Communications, and more!

Our engineers collaborate with UX designers, graphic artists, other engineers, and program managers to build epic applications used by Blizzard employees worldwide. Additionally, they work closely together to share knowledge and push the department forward by learning from each other’s success and failures.

Engineers in Corporate Applications embrace production processes, participate in technical discussions, decision-making, and have a high sense of ownership. Engineers ensure our products meet the bar for quality, availability, and efficiency.

We are looking for a well-rounded candidate with experience on at least one major project. They have found both success and failure, which they measure through their team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 3 years of software development experience in a modern programming language
• Experience in web development (HTML, CSS, API’s), information retrieval (RDBMS, NoSQL), and service-oriented architectures
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in C#, Java, JavaScript
• Experience with JS frameworks (React, Vue.js, node.js, etc.)
• Experience developing using ASP.NET, CI/CD, Docker, Cloud Platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Experience developing HTTP-based API’s (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.)
• Experience with automated testing methodologies
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages
• Experience working on cross-discipline teams (UX, QA, Program Management)
