Software Engineer Intern - Wargaming Forge Nicosia

The Software Engineering internship in the Rapid Prototype team is a program for young, talented specialists that opens the door to professional growth and development. The role gives an opportunity to understand the work on prototypes, get deep practical knowledge of rapid projects with a dynamic environment in Wargaming.
Wargaming Nicosia is seeking an intern to join our team for a 3 month paid internship program from March 15, 2021. We expect your involvement for 20 hours per week.
What you will learn
- Deep C++ knowledge and its practical use. Understanding its advantages and drawbacks in comparison with other programming languages.
- Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine. The general perception of the technology and the editor will be formed. Principles of working with Unreal Engine.
- Study the basic principles of working in a team of programmers, debugging someone else's code, profiling, and looking for code problems.
- Study basic understanding of developing quick prototypes and large long-term projects, for which long-term support is planned.
- Work with high level professionals in Wargaming
Your mentors will be
Andrey Sobchinskiy – a highly skilled specialist with around 20 years’ experience. Has worked at Wargaming for 3 years in the Rapid Prototyping department. Took part in the development of many various game prototypes.
Mikhail Hlushko - 6 years of experience as a C++/BP developer for commercial game projects on Unreal Engine 4. Worked on the development of VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) projects. Developed prototypes.
Alexander Volodkovich -10 years of experience in the game development industry. Worked on multiplayer browser games. Lead of a team of engineers in Rapid Prototyping.

- Basic programming skills
- Logical reasoning
- English on a communicative level
Applications need to be received by 7 th February 2021. Interviews will be commencing from the 22 nd of February 2021.
