Software Engineering Intern

We are looking for curious software engineering interns to join multiple teams within Unity Monetization organisation. You will have a huge impact in crafting code which will help us deliver the best product to our users, while also collaborating with team members to drive development initiatives forward!
Our powerful technology stack is built to create scalable products that allow us to operate in a high-volume Monetization network. It includes Node.js, React, NATS, Kafka and many others selected to fit for purpose. Stability, quality, and robustness of code are requirements in our development environment. Our teams are highly autonomous and take the lead and responsibility in designing and developing solutions that enable us to meet customer requirements.
We have opportunities to make an impact in the following teams:
Advertiser Insights
We work on services to help our customers understand how their ad campaigns are performing and what actions they could take to improve their performance
Advertiser Creative Tools
We focus on improving advertisers experiences with creatives and we are responsible for introducing new creative formats and providing solutions for advertisers to help them effectively build and manage their creative assets. These creative assets are used in the Unity Ads network to acquire new users for a wide array of games.
Advertiser Campaign Management
We are working on services and UIs that enable our customers to configure their ad campaigns and see how they are performing. We work to create a user experience which is as smooth as possible for our users.
Advertiser API's
Our team creates a set of REST APIs that give our customers more flexibility in configuring their ad campaigns. We work on implementing new APIs and providing tooling around them. We also collaborate closely with the other backend teams in integrating the new APIs seamlessly with the existing infrastructure.
This is a 4-6 month paid internship starting in summer 2022.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, develop new services and improve our existing services
- Design, test and implement features with the UI / UX team of designers
- Ensure high-quality delivery with unit and integration tests
- Ensure service scalability and reliability through effective code and data storage design
What we’re looking for
- You are currently studying at a University and looking for an internship during your studies ideally graduating in 2023
- Experience with full-stack JavaScript or TypeScript development
- Basic understanding of different data storage engines (NoSQL, SQL)
- Ability to clearly communicate your ideas and solutions and talk about them with the team in English
You might also have
- Quality assurance knowledge (test automation, code reviews)
- React and NodeJS skills are highly appreciated
- Understanding of distributed systems
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform
