Social Media Specialist (Mid-Level or Above)

As a Social Media Specialist at OCP, you will work closely with our product team to develop our voice and deliver content on social media channels. You will be the outward face of OCP on social media! Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute social media strategies that enhance brand awareness, engage our target audiences, and drive user acquisition. You will be a key player in building and nurturing our community, fostering excitement around user-generated content, and establishing our brand in the online multiplayer gaming space.
For this role, we’re open to candidates who are at a Midlevel or above (e.g., Senior, Staff).
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall marketing goals.
- Identify key social media platforms for engagement and growth within the gaming and UGC communities.
- Create compelling and shareable content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, to showcase the platform's features and user-generated content.
- Curate and share user-generated content to celebrate and amplify the creativity within the community.
- Foster a vibrant and engaged community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms.
- Identify and collaborate with influencers, content creators, and gaming communities to promote the platform and establish brand advocates.
- Encourage and amplify positive user testimonials and success stories.
- Utilize social media analytics tools to track, report, and analyze performance metrics.
- Provide regular reports on social media performance, user engagement, and key insights to optimize strategies.
Need to Have:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role in the gaming industry.
- Demonstrated fluency with social media trends and platforms such as X, Reddit, TikTok, etc.
- Deep understanding of online multiplayer gaming communities and UGC trends.
- Strong creative and visual storytelling skills - creating conversations, not just posts.
- Experience that demonstrates a clear ability to recognize the community at their best and empathize with them at their worst.
- Excellent written communication skills and an ability to thrive in a fully remote environment.
- Fluent English speaker and writer.
- Proficient in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Currently authorized to work in U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, Hungary, or New Zealand.
