As of today, Japan is Merge Mansion’s second biggest market, and we want to strengthen our presence further in the Asia-Pacific region. That’s where we hope you come in: to help us get started with building our Social presence and Community in APAC, with a focus on Japan.

- Relocation: Relocating to Finland expected, full support provided
- Remote work: Hybrid model of office and remote work

Responsibilities
Social Media & Community Manager plays a key role in developing and executing SoMe and Community strategy for Merge Mansion to strengthen our presence in the Asia-Pacific market. In practice, this means (at least) the following:
- Developing and owning the game’s social content calendar, creating and curating high quality content and activities in all community platforms according to the Social Media and Community strategy you build
- Acting as a point of contact, building- and managing relationship with key influencers and content creators and working together with the Marketing team to achieve our business goals
- Aligning and working closely with Marketing, Brand and Game leads on the activities you are taking on
- Building strong relationships with the community and facilitating interaction and connectedness between players to enhance player engagement
- Tracking Social Media and Community KPIs that allow you to understand if the game’s community strategy objectives are being met
- Working with both internal and external partners to create and develop content for player touchpoints such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant Social Media platforms popular in the Asia-Pacific region
- Finding, amplifying and engaging with creators of UGC and supporting them in what they do as well as fan-created communities
- Providing timely and routine player-centric qualitative and quantitative reports to the game team with actionable insights from all community touchpoints
Requirements
Every role is eventually shaped to match our unique passions, backgrounds and strengths. Here are some of the key skills and experience you should already have when joining Metacore as a Social Media & Community Manager, Merge Mansion for APAC:
- 3+ years of experience in social media marketing for a mobile game in an Asia-Pacific market, preferably Japan
- A passion for mobile games and the communities surrounding them
- Well versed in influencer marketing and collaborating with content creators
- Advanced English speaker with proven content creation skills
- Strong creative eye and ability to give constructive feedback on creatives
- Have expert insight into SoMe algorithms, user trends and platform evolutions to maximize the impact of the content you create
- Adept in utilizing SoMe platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok, and other APAC related Social Media Platforms in a B2C environment as well as SoMe marketing and management tools
- Ability to clearly communicate complex game ideas in relatable terms an average player can understand
- Experience in handling difficult situations that can arise within an online community
- Hands-on experience working with external suppliers as well as managing and briefing agencies
- Fluency in Japanese, both written and spoken
