Who We Are:
Take-Two develops and publishes some of the world’s biggest games. Our Rockstar label creates Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, two of the most critically acclaimed gaming franchises in history. Our 2K label creates games like NBA 2K, WWE 2K, Bioshock, Borderlands, Evolve, XCOM and the beloved Sid Meier’s Civilization. Our Private Division label publishes Kerbal Space Program and publishes The Outer Worlds with Obsidian Entertainment and more.
T2 Direct to Consumer:
The Direct to Consumer team is a (well-funded) startup within Take-Two. We’re launching offices in San Francisco and Vancouver. We’re building a commerce and distribution platform for our game labels. We’re creating this from the ground up to support our studios. Our team is small and agile – we deploy to production constantly. We user test every week and focus on automation. We believe in giving our studios the flexibility they need to create the world’s greatest games, so we plan to offer UI, SDK, and GraphQL interfaces for our services. We focus on working software over PowerPoint.
What We Need:
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who will support our production environment. Proven systems and analytical skills will be needed, as you develop solutions for game studios and support datacenter environments around the world alongside a group of top-notch engineers.
As a member of the SRE team, you will collaborate with support engineers, architects, operations and engineering staff to support our gamers and the needs of the business.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and automate the T2/2K systems infrastructure in terrestrial and cloud datacenters the world over
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues from both internal and external customers
- Assist the network staff in the support of the appliances that make up the T2/2K network
- Work directly with the security team to support their efforts
- Participate in 24x7 on call support for our products
- Maintain a strong collaborative work relationship with fellow engineers and team members

- Strong experience with at least one of Python, Ruby, or Perl and a good understanding of code management
- A desire to automate any request that comes your way
- An understanding of highly available operational principles and the ability to identify the pieces that are most likely to break
- Demonstrated ability to decompose complex problems. Able to engage in lateral investigations
- Expert in a primary operating system with user level experience in others
- Experience with microservice architecture
- B.S. degree (or higher) in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently with minimal direction
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in cloud computing: AWS, GCP, Azure, etc…
- Working knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
- Familiarity with Git and Perforce
- Experience working with container systems and virtual machines
- Experience with developing software for highly scalable/distributed systems
- A background of building CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, TeamCity, or Spinnaker
