Server Test Automation & QA Engineer

DIGIT is Ireland’s largest games developer, home to a talented team of over 80 people from all over the world and the creators of free-to-play MMO mobile strategy games. Our first game, Kings of the Realm, became a top grossing game in over 50 countries. Our latest project Star Trek™ Fleet Command, is an immersive F2P mobile MMO, which launched worldwide in November 2018 and continues to top the charts across the globe. DIGIT is part ofScopely, with studios in LA, Barcelona, London and Tokyo.

We are looking for a passionate Server Test Automation & QA Engineer to join our Engine team. Our aim is to be agile and release nearly bug-free updates to our kick-ass next-gen MMORTS and Empire-Building games played by millions of mobile gamers. Manual testing alone won’t bring us there. This is a high impact opportunity: we are looking for a highly motivated Test-Automation engineer who loves working with game engines, writing bots and who is passionate about test-automation. Expect to be loved by players and die hard fans of this IP when you manage to pull this off and achieve our ambitious goals.

Here's what you will be doing:

• You will create and maintain automated test-systems for our MMORTS game services
• You will create, maintain and run automated tests and reports
• You will work closely with the game development, QA and platform teams
• You will develop tools that help speed up QA processes

To do this job, you will need:

• Solid Python / Ruby / Go / C# (or any other language) programming skill
• Experience writing automated tests
• Experience with CI/CD build servers
• Fluent in using Git
• Be a gamer

While not mandatory, below are some nice to haves:

• Experience with various testing frameworks
• Experience in load testing network services
• Experience with developing custom test automation solutions
• Experience working with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker)
• Experience with reporting tools: HTML/JS, Excel, Kibana or similar
• Previous roles related specifically to quality assurance and test automation
