The Role

Our studio is looking for a Senior World Artist who is passionate about bringing exceptional entertainment to players around the globe.

You will join a character-focused action project in its pre-production phase. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary group to design and implement Environment Art content with a focus on modular kits and asset creation in a highly stylized new IP.

• You are able to anticipate challenges in your field of expertise and bring those challenges and solutions to the attention of leads and partners.
• You have a strong understanding of how form, color and texture effect the overall results of your work.
• You have developed a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create beautiful and descriptive environment assets and levels for games.
• You are excited to work with and help inform an evolving, stylized art direction.

• Analyze concept and gameplay constraints in order to create libraries of modular asset “kits” for use by Artists and Designers in generating our gameplay spaces.
• Generate tiling, trim and baked textures with a focus towards efficiency and re-usability
• Collaborate with Concept and Design to generate hero props with explicit gameplay parameters.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering to establish and/or evolve guidelines on assets creation.
• Help inform environment asset creation workflows.
• Participate in weekly playtests and feedback sessions.

Qualifications

• Shipped multiple titles and worked through most phases of development.
• Expert level experience in relevant software packages such as Blender, Substance Suite, Photoshop & Zbrush.
• Comfortable with multiple asset generation workflows with a particular focus on generating assets with tiling/trim based techniques.
• Experience sculpting organic assets.
• A strong understanding of how artistic choices in asset design impact gameplay and level design.
• Experience constructing & set dressing levels with modular kits.
