Senior Web Developer

Role Purpose & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a full stack Senior Web Developer to join the 2K Web team building sites and applications in support of our game titles. You’ll be part of a cross-functional, agile team within Marketing Technology that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

As a Senior Web Developer, you should be adept at coding with both front-end and some back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

Responsibilities

• Work with product managers and other developers to ideate software solutions
• Design client-side, serverless and server-side architecture
• Aspire to achieve full test coverage ideals in all the code you write (BDD/TDD)
• Establish automated contract integration testing and monitoring where possible
• Develop and manage well-functioning data stores and applications
• Write scalable APIs where necessary
• Debug and troubleshoot software efficiently
• Build features and applications with a mobile-first responsive design
• Write technical documentation that facilitates team comprehension
• Work with the larger team to achieve Continuous Improvement in process and code

Key Skills

• Expertise in Node.js, Vue, React, Angular or related frameworks
• Strong experience building and releasing high-traffic, scalable web applications
• Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, Typescript)
• Also familiar with JS bundlers (Webpack/ES Build)
• Recent experience developing serverless applications on AWS (Lambda)
• Experience with AWS tools like SQS, SNS, S3 and others
• Infrastructure-as-code comprehension and experience (CDK, terraform)
• Experience working as part of an agile team (Kanban, scrum, etc.)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers and UI/UX design
• GraphQL experience a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Degree in Computer Science or relevant demonstrable experience
