Visual Designer, Bungie Studios

Bungie Creative Studios, the player-facing artistic and visual brand development arm of Bungie, is seeking a talented Visual designer to join our ranks of industry leading designers, artists and brand creators. Our ideal Visual Designer will create incredible visual and graphic designs to support multiple facets for Bungie studio initiatives and video game releases into a variety of channels, including Bungie studio needs (presentations, morale, swag, events, style guides), print, web, social, digital, PR, and marketing product development.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Work with creative directors, designers, marketing managers and producers to define the high-level brand designs, logos and design direction for our Publishing
- Provide design support and visual design assets across Bungie corporate and franchises including the Bungie Store, internal events, presentations and Consumer Products
- Design, maintain and advance Bungie Creative Studios brand guidelines, documents and systems for Destiny and beyond
- Establish the visual quality bar for digital, paid media and sales collateral across multiple channels, working with the cross-functional design team to achieve best results
- Produce various graphical assets, logo marks and 2D icons for marketing and publishing
- Collaborate closely with a cross functional team of designers, art directors, producers, artists and production designers to create stunning industry shaping design and advertising content for Bungie
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of traditional and modern graphic design techniques and styles; capable of implementing their visual paradigms effectively
- 3-5 years of work-related experience as a visual or graphic designer
- Understanding and passion of design fundamentals such as typography, composition, and how graphic design can be most effect in communicating ideas, big and small.
- Highly collaborative and able to meet moving deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Technical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly are required, as our engines and tools use a collection of proprietary technology
- Ability to quickly iterate visual designs given input from the Art Director and Creative Leads
- Must be knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Must have an online portfolio
- Professional attitude and an ability to take constructive criticism
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with little supervision
- Bachelor's degree in Communications Design, Visual/Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design or related area required
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience with Motion Graphics or 3D software
- Experience with Illustration or digital painting
- A combination of education and experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree
- Passion for Games
- Familiarity with Bungie’s current and past releases
- Print production knowledge and design experience for physical goods, merchandise
Most Bungie employees and contractors will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment).
