Our studio is creating the future of King games! We are championing innovation and exploring new territories in mid-core to create a AAA mobile experience.

King New Games is looking for a passionate Senior Unity Meta Developer to help forge the envelope and the player experience of the game to captivate our audiences like never before.

As a developer you have a curiosity about understanding the tech stack, you have good analytical capabilities, you write well-structured code ? Sounds like you ? You are comfortable working with a complicated code-base and have an excellent sense of what is performant and scalable ? Then we can't wait to get to know you !

Join us and work directly on the meta team of one of our midcore titles, hand in hand with our creative, art and other tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain various meta systems for the game.
• Act as a service-oriented ambassador of engineering to the rest of the team, while delivering scalable, maintainable, high quality and well-structured code.
• Work closely with meta designers, programmers, and artists to ensure an outstanding player experience.
• Be a role model with confirmed coding skills, an innovative attitude, and the ability to encourage those around you.
• Be proactive and drive own initiatives.
• Be part of the creative journey, actively contribute to the creative process, and then complete it.

• Be responsible for the code that you build.

Skills to create thrills

• Passionate about programming with a sense of quality and polish.
• Analytical and genuinely interested in understanding the tech you work with.
• Generalist developer that likes all sorts of challenges.
• Confirmed software development experience using C# in Unity.
• Experience with mobile development and the accompanying standard processes.
• Ability to communicate efficiently and support designers, artists and other engineers.
• Self-motivation and willingness to participate in many areas of game development.
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to balance multiple tasks.
• Experience with UI, 3D.
• You feel motivated to develop new envelope features.

• Motivated by UX, and you are keen on making sure that we can deliver the best possible experience.

• Experience working with backend communications.
• Experience crafting and supporting tools used in game development.
• Professional experience of runtime performance optimisation, ideally on mobile titles.
• Experience of building a live service, and maintaining a live multiplayer game.
