The Live Content team is responsible for features that drive player retention (e.g. Battle Pass, Store, Seasonal Events). As a Live Service Tools Engineer, you will amplify the ability of your fellow teammates to deliver the live service experience players want.
You will work closely with product managers and content managers to develop tools to improve our workflows and global live operations. You will own and create complex technical tools and help empower our product team to deliver one of the most successful shooters of all time.
The Live Service Tools Engineer will help to gather requirements from internal team stakeholders, implement live service tools, and work side by side with other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and extend internal tools to improve workflow for seasonal content delivery.
- Work with game product managers to gather requirements and prioritize needs for features that enhance the player experience in the live game.
- Own features across all aspects of the code-base, ranging from internal tools to the game itself.
- Manage internal and external partnerships through challenging technical integrations.
- Participate in project planning and technical design documentation, in partnership with the Production team.
Requirements
- Passion for making and playing games.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 4+ years of experience in Software Development.
- Hands on C\C++ Experience.
Nice to have
- Experience working with Web Services and Scripting languages (PHP/LUA).
- Experience developing console games.
- Experience with C#, Python or other scripting language.
- Experience with backend API / service consumption.
