Senior Tools Programmer [Uplay PC] (f/m/d)

Job Description
As a part of the team, you will be responsible to develop, design and maintain the tool stack and middleware that powers our infrastructure and client as well as the PC game teams within Ubisoft to deliver the full Uplay PC experience. You will be using a wide spectrum of technologies ranging from C++, Python to web technology and databases.
Further responsibilities include:
You will join a multi-disciplinary team where everyone is willing to expand their knowledge and are encouraged to continue learning new things. The team is characterized by passion, comradery and the love for pc gaming. You will work in close collaboration with the other programmers, designers and testers with the opportunity to visit and work from collaborating studios.
- Writing clear, modular and maintainable code
- Participating in or leading task forces for technical design and implementation/improvements of new features or tools.
- By observing and communicating with the rest of the team: research, develop and propose new tools to make the team more efficient.
- Developing and maintaining, testing, debugging, and profiling of new and existing features. This covers topics such as:
- Tools for Platform operation,
- Developer tools,
- Test frameworks,
- Data management and distribution,
- Monitoring and alerting frameworks,
- Build and Deployment systems,
- Documentation frameworks
- Knowledge sharing.
You as a person:
You’re driven person that is passionate about developing software platform for games with millions of users. Furthermore, you believe in team ownership of what you create and you will be working with your colleagues to learn, share ideas and solve complex problems. You consider yourself a generalist programmer with a strong drive to learn new skills.
Qualifications
- Good C++ skills
- Basic knowledge in Python, MySQL, NoSQL, CMake, Network Programming
- Bonus: C#, JavaScript, PHP, Powershell, Ruby, InfluxDB, ElasticStack, Linux, Jenkins, PostgreSQL, Chromium Embedded Framework, Protocol Buffers, REST, Zabbix
