The Challenge Ahead:

Is to build our new cross-game, cross-platform digital economy platform. This large-scale, always-on collection of RESTful Java-based services will power the virtual-economies of EA’s network of games experienced by tens of millions of monthly active users. You'll build platform capabilities handling several hundred-thousand requests per second, and driving the player engagement of many of the industries most popular titles. You can build server-side systems that bring new functionality within the larger Digital Platform, and work on regular improvements to the systems to keep them at top-notch performance.

What a Program Manager does within EA's Digital Platform team:

As a Program Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead complex, diverse, many-sided projects across geographies. Most of your time will be spent on delivering complex and scalable software solutions with huge strategic impact to EADP’s Marketplace Platform. You'll provide program leadership, anticipate bottlenecks, mitigate project risks, make trade-offs, and balance the needs versus technical constraints. You will provide technical leadership on how game economy services will be built and operated within EADP and, by Game Studios. You will translate technical operational requirements across security, performance, and costs – and process requirements to improve the development to production experience into technical specifications and influence design and architectural decisions.

You will work with different teams across EA Digital Platform & Game Studios to create new solutions that help teams to achieve our goals and product deliverables in an easy, efficient and reliable operating model. You will have a software development background and project management background.
