Senior Technical Product Manager, AEC

The opportunity

Do you want to have a direct impact on customer success and Unity's growth? We are looking for a Technical Product Manager who will have the opportunity to build the technology platform upon which industrial customers build their solutions.

This role is focused on the development of real-time 3D (RT3D) applications for Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) built on Unity’s Reflect platform. In this role, you will own the definition and implementation of applications that bring to bear design, as-built, and other data to tackle unmet needs in the industries. Your responsibility will extend to include integrations with Unity and third-party platforms. You will apply your existing understanding of RT3D and AECO workflows and the landscape of current solutions, together with insight from customers and partners to deliver practical solutions to problems faced by AECO customers.

This position is located in Montreal or Vancouver, but we will consider highly qualified candidates from other locations!

What you’ll be doing

• Capture and technically document market opportunities and feature requests informed by regular engagement with customers, prospects, and partners and in collaboration with internal teams
• Develop and maintain the product roadmap and prioritize by market opportunity and customer needs in conjunction with other internal partners
• Collaborate with our engineering, UX, documentation, and other teams to develop epics, use cases, user stories, functional specifications, and other feature descriptions
• Communicate product plans with key team members to align strategies and represent the product to clients, suppliers, and strategic partners
• Be a technical specialist in the competitive landscape that Unity operates in and lead research to deliver technical analysis and insights to internal teams
• Follow the adoption of products and features after release by collecting customer feedback and competitor reactions, and use that insight to adjust product plans

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in the AECO Industry as a BIM Manager / Project Manager / VDC Manager / Facility Manager or equivalent
• Experience with design, collaboration, visualization, or related tools within the AECO segment
• Demonstrated experience successfully testing and deploying new technology solutions in your field, including RT3D based solutions
• Basic understanding of the software development process and software products
• Outstanding product management, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

You might also have

• Direct experience with RT3D applications and with the Unity engine
• Experience in software development
• Pragmatic Marketing Framework knowledge or certification
