Senior Technical Artist, Pipeline - Unreal Engine 4

Survios currently has an opening for a talented Senior Technical Artist, Pipeline to join our Technical Art Team.
As a Pipeline Technical Artist you operate at the nexus of many different workflows and complicated systems. With the ability to review complex interwoven systems, you see potential and solutions instead of chaos. You strive to eliminate inefficiencies, and remove risk and error from the process. You work to support the whole game team, providing key insight and assistance. Additionally your expertise and imagination will evolve the way we work, enhance our capabilities and empower new ways of working.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate interdepartmentally to define, implement, and refine pipelines, tools, and content authoring processes.
- Integrate and automate source control(Perforce) into tooling where beneficial.
- Assist content creation teams in production and remove technical roadblocks throughout.
- Automate and optimize workflows and processes.
- Work across multiple teams to coordinate requirements for production and engine-embedded tools.
- Be a willing and able mentor for both the consumers of your work and the peers working within your systems.
- Write and maintain documentation for tools, procedures, and best practices across pipelines, tools, and procedures.
- Aid in migration to new versions of DCC(mainly Maya), including any updates to tooling that may need to change as the api updates/changes.
- Maintain and grow our culture of collaboration, trust, and inclusiveness that is key to our studio.
Requirements:
- Experience shipping projects with a focus on pipeline, tooling, and workflow enhancements for modern real time applications.
- Advanced knowledge of Python scripting and related UI frameworks (PyQt / PySide).
- We are primarily already in Python 3.X
- Experience with writing tools/scripts/code libraries in Python or other scripting languages.
- Expert source control knowledge, including automation of source control in game pipelines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- A passion for promoting a positive team culture that champions new ideas, empowers coworkers to achieve their vision, while growing and maintaining a positive collaborative environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines.
- Creative problem solving skills that lead to innovative solutions on challenging technical problems.
- Strong knowledge of art pipelines and software.
Pluses:
- Expert Knowledge of Unreal.
- C++ Experience (Particularly in Unreal).
- Strong Foundation in 3d math.
- Jenkins Experience.
- Experience with Machine Learning, and AI.
- Previous experience working with VR.
- Passion for making and playing great games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends.
