We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Technical Artist to help define and build the key technologies and workflows that will allow us to achieve the ambitious visual and content production targets we have for our first game.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Create tools and processes that assist in authoring environment art, VFX, destruction simulations, animation, lighting, and post-process effects.
- Help mentor and train others on the team in your areas of expertise.
- Identify, plan for, and solve technical problems across the development timeline.
- Own, assess, and improve art workflow.
- Support team members with troubleshooting Unreal editor and engine issues.
- Help hire and onboard additional artists to the team.
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- 4+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of real-time rendering pipelines (Preferably UE4/5).
- In-depth knowledge of creating environments within UE4/5.
- Experienced in the use of UE4/5 blueprints.
- In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Maya.
- Able to write clean and extensible code using Python or Mel.
- Cutting edge knowledge of technical art trends and techniques.
- Motivated by and is a strong advocate for a collaborative work environment.
- Effective at working in cross discipline teams to achieve a shared mission.
- Great communicator.
- Portfolio or showreel showcasing a breadth of work in a range of visual styles.
Nice to Have:
- Experience using C++ or other languages.
- Experience working on AAA games.
- Experience and interest creating Stylized games.
- Other areas of experience, such as Shader Development, Node-Based Scripting, Procedural Asset Creation, VFX, Character Modeling are considered a huge plus.
Salary Information:
The Los Angeles base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 - $185,000 annually. Base salary will be determined by role, level, and location. The range listed for each job is the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the positions across S6-approved states. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors. Please discuss your specific salary expectations for your preferred location during our interview process.
Compensation details reflect only the base salary, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits such as 401k matching.

- Choice of Remote (in approved states) or Hybrid office options in Los Angeles, CA or Orange County, CA unless noted above
- Aligned to core Pacific Coast hours (10:00am - 4:00pm PT)
