The Senior Technical Accounting Manager, reports to the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting, and will assist or lead key projects such as revenue recognition for new business initiatives, M&A transactions including financial due diligence, strategic investment activities, and business process transformation initiatives. This position will have significant exposure to various leadership within the CFO organization and partner with various functions including Corporate Accounting, Corporate Development, FP&A, External Reporting, Legal, Tax, and internal control on various projects. Given the Company’s continued and sustained growth, the position will provide meaningful opportunities to work on high exposure projects and to develop strong cross-functional relationships setting up the individual for future accounting or finance leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and model the financial impact of significant accounting implications related to new business or product initiatives including revenue recognition
- Advise business team on the accounting implications and provide alternative accounting solutions when possible
- Provide financial and technical accounting support for M&A transactions including acquisition and divestiture activities
- Assess accounting policies and practices of acquired business to conform with the Company policies and practices
- Help drive pre/post-acquisition accounting integration strategies
- Research and document the Company’s position in formal whitepapers and gain concurrence with the external auditors
- Assist in the Company’s evaluation of other technical accounting matters, including those related to complex business transactions, significant and nonstandard contracts, adoption of new accounting standards and other special projects
- Partner with other accounting leaders in the ongoing evaluation of internal control processes or control optimization opportunities as needed. Serve as a subject matter expert in evaluating a new system or process initiatives and related control implications
- Assist in the build and documentation of key finance/accounting policies and procedures, as needed
- Work cross-functionally and within the accounting/finance group to prepare and execute against Corporate initiatives.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA required
- 8+ years of experience in accounting-related work for public companies
- At least 4 years in public accounting
- Extensive experience with revenue recognition assessment under ASC606, and M&A transactions including financial due diligence
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to take full ownership of assignments and be self-motivated
- Strong Getting Things Done mentality of with a proactive approach
- Great attention to detail and thoroughness
- Ability to translate technical accounting into plain English for key business stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven Ability to work under pressure of time constraints
- Demonstrates strong change agility and willingness to take on new, challenging roles
- Process and process improvement oriented
Preferred Skills:
- Senior manager experience preferred
- Experience providing technical accounting support in a non-audit capacity a plus
- Software/SaaS industry experience a plus
