The Challenge
The Senior Tax Analyst will become a key member of the Company’s corporate tax department and will be responsible for the income tax compliance, planning and accounting for income axes related to out U.S. operations. This role is newly added position to the team as the Company is growing. The Senior Tax Analyst will interact with senior leaders to research and support strategic tax initiatives and will also focus on implementing technology and efficient processes to streamline the Company’s U.S. tax compliance, audit and provision reporting processes.
What You’ll Take On
- Work with the Tax Manager and external advisors to ensure the timely and accurate filing of Federal and State US Corporate Income Tax Returns
- Assist with timely preparation of the Company's quarterly and annual US tax provision
- Proactively manage and maintain provision and compliance deadlines
- Prepare and review tax adjustment reconciliations and tie-out of deferred tax assets/liabilities
- Prepare tax working papers, tax analyses and gather information for the corporate income tax returns
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and compliance
- Support continuous improvements in tax provision process
- Assist with tax related audits and notices issued by tax authorities
- Address tax department inquiries from internal and external business partners
- Contribute to research and preparation of technical memos in support of U.S. tax technical positions
- Assist and support other team members of the tax function by performing ad hoc tax analyses, analytical support, and assistance with other special projects as needed
- Remain current on tax law changes and changes in the business activities of the company
- Ensure all supporting documents are complete for record keeping
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in corporate taxation
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong understanding and appreciation of internal control environment, metrics and reporting, and data quality initiatives/expectations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Passionate individual with strong work ethic
- A self-motivator
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline driven dynamic environment
- Ability to identify issues/opportunities and frame questions
- Ability to perform research using CCH and BNA
- Ability to work independently and in groups to complete time-sensitive projects with internal and external deadlines
- Possess advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
Nice to Have:
- Master of Taxation and CPA preferred
