Lead Brand Designer, Destiny 2

Bungie Creative Studios, the player-facing artistic and visual brand development arm of Bungie, is seeking a talented Lead Brand Designer for Destiny 2. As a Brand Designer you will join a multi-disciplinary group of designers, strategists and producers, establishing the many touchpoints our players interact with Destiny 2 across our marketing channels. As a Brand Designer you will conceptualize and execute a variety of creative solutions for our marketing and publishing teams, working closely with your counterparts in brand management, creative leadership, game development and production. Your role will be essential in maintaining and evolving the brand guidelines for Destiny 2 and establishing the systematic design approach to our creative needs. You will work closely with a talented team of designers and artists to bring the next generation of Destiny 2 brand creative to our diverse and global audience. Our ideal candidate is passionate about the active role design takes in successful brand development, understands its strengths/weaknesses and how it grows sustainably into the future.
The Brand Design team is new to Creative Studios and this role will be crucial in establishing modern workflows and processes based on industry best practices and evolving our design philosophy to be more holistic across projects and initiatives. You will work closely with our Creative Studios Leadership team and report to the Senior Art Lead, Brand Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the production of brand design systems and core visual design language for publishing, marketing and sales across Destiny 2 live-game releases and campaigns
- Collaborate closely with Creative Studios disciplines, Brand Management and Marketing Directors to design and evolve the visual language and graphic systems used throughout Destiny 2 marketing
- Create and systemize exceptional designs within our rich history of Destiny 2 content with a focus on the major marketing channels (live-game releases, 1st-party, paid advertising, digital, CRM , social, events)
- You will work closely with producers, brand managers, visual and production designers to ensure accuracy and quality of design delivery across projects and campaigns
- Conduct design reviews and give feedback to internal and external partners to maintain visual design consistency
- Present clear and concise design solutions to a variety of business partners across Publishing and Development
Required Skills
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence, brand development and design discipline
- Expert knowledge of traditional and modern graphic design techniques and styles; capable of implementing their visual paradigms effectively
- 5-7 years of work-related experience as a brand designer, graphic designer, or art/design director
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; experience with Figma, Miro and other collaboration tools
- Passion for design fundamentals such as typography, composition, and how graphic design can be most effective in communicating ideas, big and small
- Ability to quickly iterate through design details and communicate ideas concisely with designers, other leads and directors
- Professional attitude and an ability to take constructive criticism
- Comfortable collaborating with a broad range of disciplines and not afraid to bring every stakeholder into the process to help craft the best possible final product
- Demonstrated experience successfully working with a cross-disciplinary design team; experience in a creative or ad agency environment preferred
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design or related area
- A combination of education and experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree
- Passion for Destiny 2 and it's history
- Familiarity with Bungie’s current and past releases
