You will be part of the Private Cloud Engineering team, reporting to a senior manager, and your role will be to:
- Participate in the planning and development of our private cloud infrastructure platform. This includes conducting assessments and gathering requirements, designing system improvements, and integrating new technologies.
- Contribute to the development and optimization of our backend services, which integrate with JavaScript frontend apps, to build functional and efficient server-side infrastructure applications.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of systems to deliver an exceptional user experience.
Responsibilities
- Play an integral role in the team responsible for the major build-out of functionality on the private cloud platform and associated backend infrastructure.
- Contribute to the architecture and delivery of the platform.
- Manage specific aspects of the buildout, which includes planning and communicating with senior stakeholders.
- Prepare documentation, provide guidance, conduct code reviews, and offer mentorship to elevate the skills of our developers and the quality of our projects.
Qualifications
- Technical skills
- Comprehensive understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Minimum 5 years of expertise in Python, including at least one popular Python framework.
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience with web frameworks for building RESTful APIs in Python, such as Django or FastAPI.
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience in DevOps and Infrastructure roles.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as JavaScript and HTML5.
- Experience with SQL/no-SQL databases.
- Experience with Cloud Technologies, such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Linux systems, equivalent to LPIC-2.
- Familiarity with general networking topics (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, etc.) in Cisco environments, equivalent to CCNA.
- Soft skills
- Experience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
