Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack
Los Angeles, CA
Job Description:
The Full Stack Developer role uses an analytical, engineering-focused approach and expert knowledge of programming languages to develop applications to support our partner facing tools. You will develop new systems, build and implement new features for existing systems, and maintain and update existing systems. You are expected to be capable of full stack development, but your work will generally split evenly between back end and front-end.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with other software engineers and cross-functional teams
- Develop responsive web/mobile applications – both front and back-end functionality and architecture.
- Troubleshoot issues and fix defects
- Provide estimates to the required level of accuracy for stories and tasks and provide regular status updates.
- Test deliverables against a user story’s acceptance tests.
- Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance.
- Deploy code to AWS
Qualifications:
- Experience with REST APIs, GRPC, Microservice architectures, and async programming.
- Front end: React.js, Hooks, Material UI
- Back end: Node, express, Golang, DynamoDb, Redis, SQL
- Experience developing high performance, scalable, active-active web services using REST, JSON, GraphQL, gRPC
- Write and execute unit, integration, and functional tests
- Experience working with event streaming platforms (Kafka/Kinesis/SQS)
- Familiar with building software and services using AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, Elasticache, Lambda, Step Functions.
- Understanding of security best practices (OAuth, JSON schema validation, etc)
