Software Engineer - Esports Platform & Experiences

As a Software Engineer on the Esports Platform & Experiences Team, you will build and maintain player-facing products. This includes sites like LoLEsports, ValorantEsports, Pick’Em and the rest of our properties. You will work on a team alongside Product Managers, Designers and other Engineers across esports. Every single product you work on is created with our fans in mind, and was built to amplify our live-events such as Worlds & VALORANT Champions.
Responsibilities:
- You contribute to building APIs and Services that drive and house esports experiences for fans on web and inside the games
- Build tools that make it easier for broadcast, operators and players to work
- You will collaborate with tournament operators and representatives from professional leagues, game engineers, and other engineering organizations to push the cutting edge of Esports
- Contribute to engineering excellence to reduce and mitigate live sites quickly and effectively
- Drive a strong engineering culture, contributing to growth of technical skills in the team and a growth mindset
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience or equivalent in Software Engineering using cloud-native architectures
- 1+ years of experience with AWS (or comparable cloud environments)
- Hands-on programming experiences with Java or GoLang
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with management tools such as Jira or GitHub
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Familiarity with "Infrastructure as Code" and tooling like Terraform
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins
