Senior Software Engineer, Data

What you'll be doing
- Building and maintaining supercharged data infrastructure and pipelines that are as reliable as they are scalable
- Teaming up with our data scientists, analysts, and developers to define requirements and share your wisdom on data engineering best practices.
- Leveling up our existing data infrastructure, including Databricks, Spark, AWS, and Kafka, to boost efficiency and reduce lag time
- Crafting, implementing, and maintaining wicked tools and libraries for data processing, analysis, and visualization.
- Keeping our data squeaky clean, intact, and in line with industry standards and regulations
- Staying ahead of the game by exploring emerging tech and methodologies to help us crush our data engineering goals
- Cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team culture by championing and participating in DEI initiatives
What you’ll bring to the table
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or something similar, or the equivalent experience is preferred but not required
- Previous experience as a Data Engineer or a related role, preferably with games industry experience
- Knowledge in Databricks, Spark, AWS, and Kafka that's out of this world
- Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling
- A solid grasp of distributed computing principles and cloud-based solutions
- Top-notch problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills

The base salary range for this position is $145,434 to $242,391 USD per year, which is associated with our level 4 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven’s total compensation package for team members and exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. Total compensation also includes equity, comprehensive benefits and will also include profit sharing in the future.
