As a Senior Software Engineer on the Creator Services team, you will be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking infrastructure and services for Roblox creators. Your mission is to architect and build world-class platforms that empower millions of creators to bring their visions to life, crafting extraordinary experiences. This pivotal role not only supports the creative community but also shapes the future of interactive and immersive content on Roblox.
You will:
- Report to the Engineering Manager.
- Design and implement new, world-class API platforms that manage and support Roblox APIs.
- Develop backend services that scale to billions of products and transactions.
- Collaborate with numerous teams to build the world's best application.
You have:
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping products to production in the backend domain.
- 5+ years of experience working on large distributed systems.
- Experience with REST, GRPC, API design patterns, and scalable containerized systems and microservices.
- Proficiency in C#, Go, C++, Java, Python or similar programming languages
- Passion about working on large-scale, developer-facing platforms.
- Previous experiences on API gateway (bonus but not required)

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$233,840 — $283,780 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
