Senior Social Media Manager

And this is where you come in! You will be an expert Social Media Manager who has a deep understanding of games and gaming communities, especially competitive games and multiplayer-online-battle-arenas (MOBAs). Who ideally has a record of success in both organic/owned social media as well as with paid social media campaigns, floating effortlessly between content and programmatic marketing.

You will use this expertise you have gained, when working closely with the community lead, helping to extend the community team’s work across organic and owned social media platforms, creating a constant stream content designed to engage a variety of audiences. In this position you will also work directly with the head of marketing on paid, programmatic social media campaigns designed to drive user acquisition goals.

In This Role You Will

• Develop, lead, and execute the social media marketing strategy for our free-to-play MOBA game, Predecessor, with a focus on the North America and Western Europe markets.
• Drive organic and paid social media campaigns that generate brand awareness, user acquisition and fan engagement across the internet.
• Manage advertising budgets, track spending and analyze campaign performance to maximize ROI against KPIs.
• Work within the publishing team to plan, deliver and optimise a packed schedule of engaging content for our players across key social media platforms including X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
• Develop and maintain consistent tone and brand voice across all platforms, delighting and informing players while growing and nurturing vibrant online communities.
• Monitor social media trends, conversations, and feedback to inform content and engagement strategies, becoming the driver of new ideas, experimentation and adoption of new platforms and methodologies for the publishing team.

What We're Looking For

• 5 + years of experience managing owned, earned and paid social media in the video games, tech, entertainment or related industries.
• Comprehensive and dynamic understanding of the ever-changing social media landscape, including platform best practices and emerging trends.
• Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, etc.), data analytics and campaign attribution tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief eye-catching social media creatives, write exciting ad copy and implement results-driven CTAs.
• A creative, experimental and iterative mindset. Able to propose trendsetting ideas and see them through to execution, learning from them to build an ever-evolving playbook that informs all aspects of our social media presence.
• Passion for video games, gaming culture and the communities of gamers. Comfortable being the spokesperson for Predecessor across social media.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices.
• Familiarity with video editing software and graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).
• Affinity for MOBAs and competitive gaming.
