Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a highly motivated individual to join its Risk Operations group. The group's core duties include fraud mitigation, ensuring game and service integrity, research and investigation into game exploitation and abuse/cheating, investigate account take-overs and account security for all of Blizzard Entertainment's online games and services. In short, enforcing our core value of Play Nice, Play Fair!
Responsibilities
- Find, investigate, and enforce our policies regarding exploitation and hacking for our games and services
- Identify trends and patterns, summarize key findings, and provide recommendations on anti-fraud and game integrity processes and system enhancements
- Take initiative to start, manage, and maintain high profile anti-fraud or anti-cheat/exploit projects from start to end
- Take complex data sources and gain actionable insights out of them
- Manage and respond to escalations from internal and external parties within designated service levels
- Educate internal and external parties on fraud and cheat/exploitation issues in gaming
- Provide mentoring to junior Risk Analysts
- Work with the Risk Managers to identify training needs for the Risk Analysts and help organize/facilitate corresponding trainings
- Contribute to the anti-fraud and/or anti-cheat community
Requirements
- Knowledge of current trends in in-game exploitation
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of fraud prevention / anti cheat/exploitation
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in English
- Strong Knowledge of MS Office, especially of MS Excel
- Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages like Python
- Knowledge of *nix systems and / or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, etc
- Strong self-learning abilities
- Passion for video games
Plusses
- Experience working in the video gaming industry
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related discipline
- Experience with programming languages such as Java
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) or Splunk
- Foreign language proficiency
- Current player of Blizzard games
