CTRL-labs is developing a wearable neural interface for the wrist/forearm that allows creators to build revolutionary new experiences and applications in VR/AR, gaming, robotics, health, productivity and more.
As Senior Research Engineer, you will: drive cutting edge research and development for our core machine learning platform; create new experiments and models that unlock the capabilities of our technology; work across scientists, software engineers, hardware engineers and designers to set the company’s scientific agenda. To do so, you will need strong problem solving abilities, excellent communication skills, extensive programming experience, and a passion for efficient tools and systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable machine learning algorithms to model a new kind of biosignal.
- Design tools and infrastructure to analyze and leverage rich data sets.
- Work side-by-side with research scientists to accomplish core science goals.
- Champion and promote good engineering practice on the science team.
- Define short and long term research goals, informed by practical engineering concerns.
Requirements
- PhD, MS or BA in computer science, engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years experience working with machine learning in a product-oriented environment, and/or at large scale.
- Fluent in Python, TensorFlow and other relevant tools.
- Bonus points for expertise in signal processing, statistics, neuroscience, or running machine learning on embedded systems.
