Senior Rendering Programmer - UK Based Hybrid/Remote

For 30 years we’ve been creating incredible video games at our multiple studios, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
We operate across multiple UK locations, with studios based in Oxford, Warwick, Liverpool and Wakefield. The Opportunity
We’re on the lookout for a Senior Rendering Programmer to join our in-house Technology team. The Rebellion Tech team are a team of highly skilled and experienced programmers who develop our in-house engine, Asura with cutting edge technology. It’s exciting to be part of this collaborative team, you'll work on developing rendering systems and features for our exciting upcoming titles!
As our next Senior Rendering Programmer, you’ll join a small but exceptionally talented industry veterans to develop the rendering technology in our proprietary game engine. You will research, design and implement innovative new graphics features in the engine. Your work will have impact across all of our games, we work on multiple projects at any given time, so this role is your opportunity to have impact across every title we publish.
Requirements
- Excellent C++.
- Experience working with in-house engines
- A broad knowledge of contemporary graphics techniques.
- Experience writing and optimising shaders for a range of platforms
- Strong knowledge of platform-specific API features and the ability to apply this knowledge to determine the best approaches to writing platform agnostic features in an engine
- Strong 3D vector maths.
- Awareness of performance and memory footprints of different approaches or techniques.
- Experience designing graphics features at a high-level. Strong understanding of the interaction between different rendering stages, and CPU / GPU interaction
Desirables
- Console development experience would be advantageous.
- Experience with developing tools for artists is a plus.
- Current-gen console development experience
