Who We Are:
2K develops and publishes interactive entertainment globally for console systems, handheld gaming devices and personal computers, including smartphones and tablets. 2K is a leading publisher of today’s most popular gaming genres and most well-known for critically acclaimed game franchises like NBA 2K, WWE 2K, Bioshock, Borderlands, Evolve, XCOM and the beloved Sid Meier’s Civilization.
This role is part of the 2K Operations team that is responsible for the overall operational management of the label. The Operations team serves as the single point of contact for all label strategic planning, process development and improvement, executive initiatives, M&A activities, expansion of existing studios/business units, onboarding of newly acquired businesses. Acts as the “connective tissue” that links all aspects of these label activities seamlessly.
What We Need:
As a Senior Project Manager at 2K, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational process for multiple active and planned projects, guiding cross functional teams to navigate barriers to execution and communicating progress and solutions to leadership teams.
What You Will Do:
In this particular role, you will drive the operational function for the management of label/studio expansions, from identifying new locations for expansion of existing studios/departments to coordinating all activities required to open our doors in a new location and ensure processes are in place for operation within the 2K infrastructure. In addition, this role will support large, often cross-functional, organization-wide projects or initiatives that can result in the creation of new systems and processes to streamline operations.
- Studio Operations – help maintain the studio network in terms of resource sharing, data access, best practices and opportunities to build our value with and to the studios
- Label Ops – Manage label/studio expansions, including but not limited to:
- Managing activities related to identifying new locations for expansion of existing studios/departments
- Managing studio and labeling expansions across the globe
- Coordinating all activities required to open the doors in a new location and ensure processes are in place for:
- Tax credit compliance, financial services, bank accounts, payroll, local compliance
- Entity setup
- Recruiting / HR / IT setup
- Physical space requirements and logistics
- Effectively and dynamically context switch between the individual task level and high-level project objectives, with the goal of maintaining a consistently up-to-date view that can be conveyed outward
- Provide detailed and timely communication on developing issues to relevant executives and partners with clarity and urgency
- Work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment, being incredibly pro-active and not shy to call out issues and prioritize resolution
- Convert abstract ideas into smooth operations then develop structures, establish processes, and create efficiencies within and across the organization to support the mission
- Translate 2K label strategic vision and goals into action, holding teams accountable and driving business priorities from conception to completion
- Manage large, often cross-functional, organization-wide projects or initiatives; bring together important stakeholders and help drive decisions
- Propose the creation of new systems and processes to streamline operations
- Develop and manage relationships across multiple divisions and departments, including T2, to ensure successful management of projects involving multiple and diverse stakeholders

- BA/BS Degree or equivalent required
- 5+ years’ experience in project management, ideally with some experience in digital products/commerce/e-commerce – gaming experience a plus but not required
- Deep knowledge of projects process and best practices especially for global executions
- Highly organized, energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience identifying, communicating, managing, and mitigating risks
- Proven ability to communicate and build relationships with all disciplines throughout a studio and with corporate
- Proven and established negotiation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage ambiguity and propose workable solutions to challenging problems
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups. Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
