Senior Product Marketing Manager, Safety

Discord is a platform built on a strong foundation of user trust and safety. You’ll work on roadmaps that enforce our guidelines, and mitigate bad experiences for our users. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Eng, Legal, Policy, and CX to look into the future of Discord and create features, and solutions to continue to foster a healthy environment. As the Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you will take the lead on shaping the product narrative around these updates.

The product marketing team exists at the center of our users and our product and plays an important part in how we grow and evolve. What you'll be doing
- Advise and support ongoing product roadmap planning with user insights, competitive landscape, and risk assessment
- Help inspire and grow new solutions and features that foster a safe environment for all users
- Work with our creative, community, and brand marketing teams to build the product narrative across Trust & Safety
- Create product and feature positioning and communication plans for new features and products aimed to keep Discord safe for everyone
- Partner with our Legal and Privacy teams to update and communicate any policy changes to employees and users
What you should have
- 5+ years of product marketing experience around safety, privacy, and policy issues at a tech company focused on social products or communication platforms
- A passion for user privacy and safety on the internet
- Experience with building new marketing and product plans from the ground up
- Experience with marketing execution and consistency, including managing and scaling products globally
- You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery and bring your cross-functional partners along with you
- Passion for Discord and belief in our mission
Bonus Points
- Product development/management or product design experience
- Additional marketing experience in branding, media, partnerships, or communications
