What we do
The Online team at Epic Games is developing an innovative platform which provides tools and services with world-class features and scalability to developers and gamers. We’re making it easier and faster for developers to successfully launch, operate, and scale high-quality games. For players, we’re developing the Epic Games Store to be a rich experience for finding the best games for you and playing them with your friends, and even creating your own content to share with the world.
What you’ll do
In this position, you will have a role in designing features and UI screens by generating wireframes, documentation, and prototypes. You will then work with engineers, product managers, and production coordinators to ship these features to hundreds of millions of users. The ideal candidate would have expertise in user-centered design, product thinking, and ideally an understanding of effective social-oriented systems.
In this role, you will
Translate goals and constraints into compelling user-facing features
Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and documentation that clearly convey ideas
Present and pitch designs to product managers and developers
Work alongside engineers, product managers, and UX researchers to develop features
Create shared experiences, from games to streaming, that focus on creating an experience around people video chatting together
Help develop and maintain the aesthetic of the app
Help establish and grow a robust design system and maintain it
Lead the design processes within a team; own features and initiatives
What we’re looking for
5+ years of real world experience in design role in a tech environment
Demonstrated ability to ship features with solid interaction design
Expert ability to create wireframes and prototypes
Skilled with Figma and After Effects; working knowledge of html/css/js
Strong knowledge of design processes
Experience contributing to a Design System
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to see features through to completion and rapidly modify design as information changes
