Senior Producer

About Offworld:

Offworld Industries Ltd. (Offworld) is the independent studio behind the successful military first-person shooter game, “Squad”. Offworld was formed in 2014 by more than 15 developers who had worked together on the well known Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2. The founding purpose of the team was to bring a standalone successor of this acclaimed mod to market and build a game development studio and a livelihood from that foundation.

Fast forward to 2024, Offworld has over 140 employees and is rapidly growing. We have been expanding the studio into serving as a publisher supporting mods and have just released our new title into early access, "Starship Troopers: Extermination", a 16-player PvE first-person shooter based on the 1997 cult-classic film.

We strive to become a leader in creating large-scale multiplayer games as well as supplying others with the ability to do the same. We are looking for a talented Senior Producer to manage all aspects of development of an upcoming console game project. You will play a crucial role in driving the successful execution of the console game project from concept to release. You will be responsible for overseeing the development process, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. Collaboration with internal and external cross-functional teams, effective project management, and a deep understanding of the gaming industry and game consoles are key components of this role. Job Duties:

• Collaborate on the development of the game’s vision and effectively communicate that vision to management and rally the team around it.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Identify risks as early as possible in order to mitigate them and communicate both issues and proposed solutions clearly.
• Foster a collaborative and creative working environment among team members.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Programming, Art, and QA, to ensure alignment with project goals and vision.
• Identifies dependencies and work through requirements across cross functional teams.
• Facilitate effective communication between team members and departments.
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including senior management and publishers.
• Partner with all stakeholders both internal and external to shepard game through first party certification processes.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure a successful launch and post-launch strategy.
• Work closely with the development team to allocate resources efficiently.
• Manage dependencies and ensure that teams have the necessary tools and support to achieve their goals.
• Evaluates features and prioritizes the backlog to ensure work is aligned with product strategy.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in game production as a Producer, Project Manager or Product manager
• Shipped at least one game on consoles.
• Proven track record of delivering successful titles as a Producer.
• Familiarity with console development processes and requirements.
• Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or related field or equivalent experience in Game Production
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and collaboration.
• Work well within a creative fast paced team
• A genuine passion for video games and a deep understanding of industry trends.
• Ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  

This is a full-time permanent position.

Salary Range: $120,000 CAD - 140,000 CAD/annually
