Senior Producer, Moomin IP with Japanese language

In this role you’ll get to work with a fantastic Nordic brand, Moomin, well known to all ages. This game is a new addition to our great portfolio of puzzle games and you will be on a mission to build on the success and legacy of both Rovio, and Moomin. You will join a dedicated team, well versed into the lore of the IP and focused on crafting captivating storylines and fun puzzles, and help them bring the best experience to our players.
We are now looking for a senior producer with business development skills to take our new game to the market. Your contribution will be critical for the Japanese success of our new venture as you will take ownership of Moomin’s Japanese partnerships, business development and related game development and future liveops activities. You will work together with the game team, producer and game lead in Finland to achieve the business goals for the game.
The team is part of our Puzzle studio in Finland and you will work close to the team where the hybrid system is implemented allowing you to decide if you want to work from home, office or a mix of both. If you are not located in Finland already, we provide relocation support.
What your days will look like:
- Collaborating with the game team and helping them to adjust their strategy based on your knowledge of the Japanese market, culture and what the players like in Japan;
- Working in tandem with the producer (having agreed on the split of responsibilities) to drive the success of the game forward;
- Driving relationships with our Japanese partners to make sure the game is progressing as planned and removing any potential blockers;
- Coordinating marketing activities, game development or liveops activities;
- Owning the deliverables in the project and helping the team to break things down into understandable, manageable and meaningful tasks;
- Constantly improving the ways of working and team processes.
Who we think will do great in this role has:
- Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English languages;
- Good understanding and experience on Japanese game development projects and relationship management;
- Experience in estimation, scheduling, scoping and release planning;
- Strong stakeholder communication skills where you are able to communicate priorities clearly and at the same time encourage creative expressiveness in the team;
- Good understanding of mobile games, F2P and video games industry, especially in Japan;
- Passionate about the business side and delivering on the KPIs;
- Have resilience and determination to rally the team through challenges and surprise.

Recruitment process:
First meeting : You will meet the hiring manager. Before diving deeper into your tech skills, we want to know who you are and what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role.
Second round : Interviews with the Game Lead and other key decision makers of the game to get a sense of your thinking and ideas related to the game. Our aim is to get a clear overview of your skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help you develop.
Final interview: meeting the hiring manager and studio leadership to sum everything up.
