DigitalFish has an immediate need for a Senior Pipeline Developer with practical experience developing and deploying Python libraries and pipeline tools for XR, games, visual effects and/or animation production.
As a Senior Pipeline Developer with DigitalFish, you will develop next-generation technologies that define the future of digital-media creation and consumption for millions of users. Responsibilities
- Design and implement python libraries and tools for efficient rigging workflows
- Write user documentation and design notes for the software you create
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and artistic teams internally and at our clients
- Take ownership of technical issues and drive them to resolution
Minimum Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related engineering field
- 4-6 years experience developing computer-graphics pipeline tools; at least 2 of those years implementing character rigging tools specifically
- Proven experience scripting Python/PyQt tools for Maya
- Good understanding of the 3D-graphics and mathematics fundamentals supporting creature rigging: trigonometry, linear algebra, matrices, vectors and quaternions
- Solid professional experience in team development using Python
- Solid general programming skills including knowledge of software patterns, build systems, and optimization
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
- Self-motivated with strong communications skills and able to work both in a team and independently
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Bonus Experience
- Solid understanding of USD concepts such as the representation of primitive objects, groups and hierarchies, schemas, layers and composition, and a practical understanding how to apply these concepts in solving production problems.
- Proven experience writing and supporting USD-based tools in production
Compensation and Benefits
- The annual salary range for this position is $155,000 to $205,000 plus equity (per qualifications)

Additional Info
Our team is fully remote, working effectively together in real time. The ability to work on the West Coast time is preferred.
