Role Overview:
The Global Payments team are responsible for enabling PlayStation Store consumers to pay for their digital content, services and PS hardware. The Payment Teams have supported the growth of the business by continuously improving the payment experience, optimisation of payment routing and enabling new payment methods. As a part of this evolution, we are looking to launch new direct-to-consumer business in Europe. We are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, interested in working together at the forefront of online retail experiences aimed at exceeding the expectations of the gaming community.
Reporting to the regional Payment Operations Manager in London, the role will be responsible to set up and maintain new payment infrastructure including new MIDs, descriptors and bank accounts. You will monitor and analyse payments KPIs and use a data driven approach to identify payment opportunities and optimise payment performance. The person will have to identify and resolve settlement, reconciliation and payment incidents with relevant payment vendors and stakeholders. Their scope will expand to manage payment processors and network compliance changes. Additionally, as one of the regional SMEs for payment, you drive vendor operations insights and make recommendations on funnel conversion and report on payment performance to senior leadership and fully own PS direct Payments goals.
What you’ll be doing:
- The senior operations analyst must have excellent knowledge of payment business processes, best practices, strong customer service and documentation skills.
- Monitor and investigate payment reconciliation exceptions and anomalies; identifying route cause and issue resolution.
- Work closely with regional PS Direct sales, finance and accounting teams, global production support and with payment partners to coordinate issue resolution within agreed SLA’s
- Point of contact and escalation for local finance and accounting teams relating to payment processing and reconciliation
- Provide meaningful reporting and insight regarding payment settlement and reconciliation to leadership.
- Coordinate the process of optimised payment routing within your region and align globally.
- Regional SME in the event of payment impacting incidents; drive resolution and communicate to regional stakeholders as well as publishing communications related to the deployment of new functionalities.
- Represent regional payment operations in regular partner forums.
- Communication of regional VoC and stakeholder requirements into Global Payments organisation to aid the development of any payment strategy and the formation of the payments roadmap.
- Support the education of regional stakeholders with regards to payments on the SIE platform, particularly with regards to Consumer Services and their support of PlayStation Contact Centres.
- Maintenance of regional Payment and Fraud operational process documentation.
- Write reports and presentations to guide operational decisions periodically and on the fly.

- Strong understanding of CNP payment ecosystem
- Set up new settlement and reconciliation processes
- Understanding of payment dispute processes
- Prior experience in hardware e-commerce
- Prior experience of driving efficiencies in an operational business environment
