We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Motion Capture Artist to join our team.
As a Senior Motion Capture Artist, you will play a crucial role in bringing our characters and animations to life, using state-of-the-art motion capture technology. You will work closely with our animation, character design, and game development teams to create realistic and captivating animations for our upcoming projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform motion capture sessions for characters, creatures, and other elements of our games.
- Clean and process motion capture data to ensure high-quality results.
- Collaborate with animators, designers, and developers to integrate motion capture data into game environments.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize workflows for efficient motion capture production.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior motion capture artists as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in motion capture technology and techniques.
- English proficiency (from Level C1)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a motion capture artist in the video game industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Expertise in motion capture hardware and software, such as Vicon, OptiTrack, or Xsens.
- Proficiency in motion capture data cleaning and processing using software like MotionBuilder or Maya.
- Strong understanding of character animation principles and storytelling techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passion for video games and a desire to contribute to the creation of memorable gaming experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with facial motion capture systems.
- Knowledge of rigging and skinning techniques for character models.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for automation and workflow optimization.
- Previous experience working in an independent or small studio environment.
