Senior Mobile Game Developer (C++) - Forge of Empires

Our Forge of Empires team wants to strengthen the technical infrastructure of the game. Therefore we need a Senior Mobile Game Developer who is willing to join the technical infrastructure team of our most successful gaming project!

As a Senior Mobile Game Developer in the tech team, you will have touch-points with all the Game Developers of the project, but your focus will be on the infrastructure for our mobile Cocos2D-X game. Thus you would need to be skilled in developing in C++.

Your mission:

• Have a positive impact on the development of the Forge of Empires mobile game
• Build a better technical infrastructure for our Game Developers by continuously refining and optimizing the existing development environment
• Grow professionally and influence the professional growth of your colleagues by fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, best practices, and standards
• Collaborate closely with Mobile-, Frontend- & Backend Developers, Game Designers, and Artists to increase the user experience for our players

Your skillset:

• Team player and a good communicator with fluent English language skills
• At least 4 years of professional experience working with C++, ideally using Cocos2D-X
• At least 2 years of professional experience in native app development (Android, iOS)
• Excellent understanding of software architecture and design
• Profound knowledge of continuous integration and tools (e.g., git, Jenkins, Fastlane, Go)
• Good knowledge of Rendering and Profiling

Favorable

• Passion for online games (strategy/F2P) and knowledge of relevant game mechanics
• Professional experience in the gaming industry, ideally working on comparable mobile games
• Theoretical understanding of Software Development, ideally based on a University degree in Computer Sciences, Business Information Systems or similar studies
• A proactive and motivated individual with a willingness to learn
