Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting

Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting will report to Director of Technical Accounting, and will assist or lead key accounting and reporting areas including long-lived assets, stock-based compensation, business combination, leases, revenue recognition and various non-recurring transaction. This position will have significant exposure to various cross functional teams including Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Research and document technical accounting and reporting requirement with respect broad accounting areas or individual transactions
• Consult with the broader accounting team to highlight accounting and reporting implications and brainstorm for alternative solutions
• Partner up and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on contemplated transaction to balance out business goals with optimized accounting outcomes
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and other functional partners to establish recurring processes around various ongoing accounting requirements (e.g., set up periodic impairment assessment process, establish a cadence of identifying and assessing new lease contracts, and various others)
• Assist in the Company’s evaluation of technical accounting matters, including those related to complex transactions, emerging areas, and adoption of new accounting standards.
• Partner with other accounting leaders in the ongoing evaluation of internal control process or control optimization opportunities as needed.
• Assess the needs and provide feedback on implementation of new systems or processes related to internal control implications.
• Assist in documentation of key finance/accounting policies and procedures, as needed
• Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements and required disclosures
• Be a technical accounting resource for ad-hoc questions and initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA required
• 8+ years of experience of combined accounting-related work in public accounting and public companies
• At least 4 years in public accounting
• Experience reviewing and analyzing complex business transactions
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Skills:

• Senior manager experience preferred
• Experience in SEC reporting and providing technical accounting support
• AdTech/Software/SaaS/Gaming industry experience a plus
• Experience with NetSuite, Workiva and Shareworks is desired

• Ability to translate technical accounting and financial reporting concepts and impacts into plain English for key business stakeholders
